The love is hard… the message even harder: Yarah Bravo

2017 starts with a new inspiration in terms of music, style and consciousness: we’re very happy to welcome Yarah Bravo to the bureau45 family.

A Swedish citizen with Latin American roots who lived in London, NYC, and now Berlin, Yarah embraced music from all over the world to develop her unique flow of soulful, jazzual, intelligent and political hip-hop. She shared stages with everyone from Wu Tang Clan, Public Enemy to Fat Freddys Drop and Asian Dub Foundation. Yarah also was a founder of London based group One Self (signed on Ninja Tune) and front woman of DJ Vadim’s The Soundcatcher Soundsystem (BBE).

After recent collaborations with Nightmares on Wax (warp) , Organized Threat (L.A), A state Of Mind (Wax Tailor), Xewin (Switzerland) and a stint at the Red Bull Music Academy in Spain, Yarah Bravo is back with new projects. Passionate, positive, funky and ferocious, and willing to show the world it’s all about the heart!

Enjoy her live performance on Youtube.

„Crown Posada“ The 4th Long Player of Smoove & Turrell

With the release of fourth album Crown Posada, Smoove & Turrell cement their position as one of the UK’s most exceptional soul acts (and a fast growing community in whole Europe and beyond) with their innate ability to deliver hard times social commentary in a dancefloor friendly medium.

Proudly working class as a band – this album celebrates love, life, politics and the lows and the highs of growing up and raising families in the North East of England.

Massiv radio airplays (BBC Radio) & press features, heavy touring in UK.

Two. Guys. Dropping. The. Fonk.

We’ve got The Allergies – and we’re really happy about it!

The Allergies is made up of Bristol-based scratch DJs, Moneyshot & Rackabeat. They made it their mission to reshape funky vintage sounds for the modern dancefloor: funk, soul, disco, hip-hop and breakbeat influences mix into a seriously cool stew.

Their 2016 debut album As We Do Our Thing on Jalapeno Records takes in this sound, and features guest vocals from HypeMan Sage, BluRum13 and Ugly Duckling’s Andy Cooper.

They already topped charts at iTunes and Juno, and got ‘Album of the Day’ props over at BBC 6 Music. As Craig Charles put it: “Big, bouncy and fat! Just how I like my funk.”

They’re available for bookings throughout Europe, please contact frank@bureau45.com for more information and conditions!
